Since its foundation 144 years ago, Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) has been an ambassador of the fusion of tradition and innovation. It plays a definitive role in shaping the design scene in Hungary and continues to be a pivotal institution in domestic creative and design culture to this day.
The majority of our alumni play a key role in their respective fields, and the university acts as a hub for representatives of the creative industry also on an international scale. Our mission is to find solutions to today’s challenges using the toolkit of art and design in collaboration with other fields.

ANDRÁS HÚNFALVI - AURURM FUTURI 2024 WINNER
| ENG | A four-time Red Dot award-winning designer and an immersive media researcher have received the 2024 Aurum Futuri awards!
The Aurum Futuri excellence awards - co-founded by MOME and the MOME Foundation - have been presented for the second time in the history of our university.
This year’s winners were András Húnfalvi, lead instructor of the Mobility Design specialisation, and researcher Ágnes Karolina Bakk, PhD, Interaction and Immersion Hub Lead.
András Húnfalvi is a distinguished member of the MOME teaching community, renowned for his professional and educational excellence. A MOME alumnus, he is a four-time Red Dot and two-time iF Design award-winning designer, as well as co-founder and lead designer of the Flying Objects studio, and has been teaching at MOME since 2018, currently leading the Mobility Design specialisation. He has not only carried out internationally acclaimed design projects but has also successfully guided several students to excel in world-class competitions. He picks and applies his teaching methods thoughtfully, keeping the University's traditions in mind while adapting flexibly to current challenges, creating an inspiring professional environment for his students. His work is highly visible both within and outside the University, with corporate collaborations, international events, and accolades continuously strengthening the MOME brand in Hungary and abroad.
This award recognises MOME's most outstanding educators and researchers, with the name referring to their future-shaping activities and values, symbolised as the "gold of the future".
It honours the contributions of educators through teaching, mentoring, and intellectual and practical inspiration, as well as the valuable long-term scientific work of researchers, all aimed at improving the lives of future generations.
Funded by the MOME Foundation, the award includes both material and financial rewards, and any MOME community member can nominate a candidate. It is essential that the selected professional's work has a tangible impact on both the teaching staff and the student community.

Ezzel a díjjal a MOME legkiválóbb oktatóit és kutatóit ismerik el, melynek neve a jövőformáló tevékenységeikre és értékeikre, a „jövő aranyára” utal. Arra a hozzájárulásra, amit az oktatók a tanítással, mentorálással, valamint a szellemi és gyakorlati ösztönzéssel, a kutatók pedig hosszú távon hasznosítható tudományos munkájukkal adnak a társadalomnak, és amivel a következő generációk életét kívánják jobbá tenni.
A Moholy-Nagy Művészeti Egyetemért Alapítvány finanszírozásában megvalósuló, tárgyi és pénzjutalommal járó díjra bármely MOME-polgár jelölhet személyt. Fontos, hogy a kiválasztott szakember munkája érezhető hatást gyakoroljon mind az oktatói, mind a diák közösségre.

I also underline almost every sentence in his books en took also notes from this talk in one of his books before me now on the table. His books became color-books in my library.😂One of the most interesting philosophers that changed my way of thinking and looking at the world.

A volt MOME-s művészek megvendégelésekor majdnem elsírtam magam. Voltam Erdélyben, olyan vendégszeretetet ami náluk van, sehol máshol nem találsz.
Fantasztikus videó volt, fantasztikus hely Erdély ❤️ szívem minden széthullott darabjával szerettem volna a videóba lenni ezeken a nyári talán késő őszi napokon, olyan varázslatos, nyugodt hely. ❤️ Nagyon sokat adott Anna az, amit mondtál, h miket lehet tanulni az idősebb generációtól, és abszolút egyetértek, ha esik az eső annak örülnek, ha süt a nap annak. Imádnivalóak a nagyszülők is, mindegyiköjük egy tünemény ❤️🥰❤️❤️🤗🤗. A férjed is fantasztikus, ahogy beszél rólad főleg. Én is nagyon fontosnak tartom azt is, amit te mondtál, és igazbis, hogy a becsületesség a tisztaság mennyire fontos az életbe, (bár sajnos ezt egyre kevésbé tapasztalom, ennek ellenére nagyon örülök, h vannak még ilyen emberek)! Néhány kérdés kíváncsiságból. Mennyi tesztelésen ment keresztül a játék, milyen csoportokkal? Mi a játék nehézségi pontozása? Szuper lenne látni volt-e más döntés is a megjelenés mögött mint hogy zöld/újrahasznosított anyagok lettek használva. A célzott korosztály számára elegendő ez a roppant letisztult grafika, felkelti a figyelmüket?
